Netherlands-based artist Eiko Ishizawa designed and created The Great Sleeping Bear sculpture after learning about the first wild bear to cross into Bavaria from Italy in 170 years. It was later killed for being a "problem bear." The artist writes "I was interested in this tragic story of the bear, as well as the starting point of this tragedy; this bear was generating many different ideas and emotions in people as illusions in reality by just crossing the borderline between countries."

Ishizawa's sleeping bag sculpture was made to represent "the contradictive relationship between admirations and love of mankind toward wild nature, and the boundaries that we rarely brake." The concept is interesting, and the bag itself is just amazing. According to Designboom, after making several prototypes, Ishizawa is now offering the bags for sale in limited quantities. Visit the artist's website and contact him about getting one for yourself.
