For those who don't know Thierry Noir, he's a French artist who moved to Berlin back in the '80s and essentially pioneered the street art scene in Europe. One of the few artists to have painted on both sides of the Berlin Wall and supposedly also the first, Noir recently took his multicolored murals to London.

Just a few days ago, the artist painted his signature characters on a garage door in Shoreditch. On the front of the doors, Noir has painted three of his wide-eyed caricatures' profiles, but on the back, similar characters are seen clutching flowers. Vibrant, simplistic, fun, and almost Picasso-like, the artist's murals add a pop of color and break up the monotony of the Shoreditch street. It's hard to believe that Noir has never had a solo exhibition in his life. Soon, however, Howard Griffin Gallery will present his first ever gallery show. In the mean time, check out Noir's latest piece.
