A hilarious coincidence.

Online boutique Moda Operandi made a name for itself by giving customers the ability to place pre-orders on designer clothing days after the actual runway show. Its most recent development is a new app, released just in time for New York Fashion Week. The new app lets users look through runway images of shows and swipe either left to "dislike" or right to "like" a look. When looks that a user has liked become available on Moda Operandi, they're notified.

While this is probably a genius move to beef up sales for Moda, we can't help but see the similarity to the geo-location dating app, Tinder, which also lets users swipe left (nay) or right (yay) on a potential partner, then matches individuals only after both have approved of each other.

So, now you can get a date and first dibs on designer pieces with just the swipe of your thumb. Thank you, technology.
