The 90s were glorious years of pre-recession prosperity, when fuzzy slap bracelets, your AIM away message and Mase were the only things that mattered. BAL joins the ranks of designers and brands that are paying homage to this iconic epoch, in its spring/summer 2014 lookbook.
For the collection's showing, the Japan-based brand styled dudes in bucket and safari hats, floral suit sets and camo shorts that look like they've come straight off the secondhand rack. Pretty sure we saw Birdman rubbing his hands in the background of a music video wearing that taupe tracksuit.
But BAL's looks aren't purely throwback - a dark denim jacket with yellow stitching, loose, cropped pants and Jordan pairings also bring forward modernity.
