Au Courant PARIS, a fairly new effort by former Virgil Abloh and Don C understudy Chaz A. Jordan, strives to live up to its name in "Lookbook II". Founder and creative director Jordan, a Chicago, Ill. native who remembers having to approve the outfits his parents put together for him at six years old, created a collection of murdered out, multi-layered textures. Fur collars, angular cotton t-shirts, scrunched-up skinny pants and wavy leather embody looks that are largely seen as current - especially those men's tunics that you pretty much thought only Kanye would rock onstage, then saw R. Kelly mercilessly donning at the AMAs.
The lookbook, laid out as though it were a novel, also offers a handful of clutches, iPad and iPhone cases, all made of either leather or fur - anything else might be passé.
