Swiss-born Olaf Breuning is a tireless and endlessly creative artist—his works include film, sculpture, performance art, photography, drawing, and installations. Some of his most famous pieces include pictures of colorful contraptions set to explode. Breuning creates these structures by attaching fireworks or smoke bombs to a skeletal frame. These photos capture the eye’s attention with their vibrancy and movement. Some of these contraptions are installed at secure sites and lit for “happenings”—one such happening occurred at Station to Station in New York.
