Oregon-based bootmaker Danner has recently launched a lifestyle concept store in the Union Way area of dowtown Portland. To commemorate the store's opening, the brand has coupled the event with the release of the Union Way-exclusive Vertigo 1022X boot.
Since 1923, Danner has been crafting footwear that intends to appeal to military, industy and outdoorsmen alike. The brand takes pride in the high quality and built-to-last standards that go into every boot, made in the company's factory in Portland.
With the new Union Way concept store, this will be Danner's second retail store and first-ever lifestyle concept shop. With the new space, Danner wanted to draw from the Pacific Northwestern roots of the brand, featuring a 10-foot living wall of Orgeonian plants, a dressing room homage to wooden teardrop trailers, and a mural depicting the iconic Oregon outdoors.
The concept of the space is to entice and inspire visitors to head out and explore the wilds of the Pacific Northwest (hopefully with some Donner gear in tow). Creative Director Haven Andersen stated, "Our design concept was to bring the outdoors in, creating an experience where shoppers would fall in love with the lifestyle of outdoor adventure in the Pacific Northwest."
Danner Union Way opened in early August.
