Public School designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are killing it right now. They presented a great Fall 2013 collection, launched a denim line, won the Swarovski Menswear Designer of the Year Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and was named one of the finalists for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. But, as we found out, it took a lot of hard work, sleepless nights, and ramen and McGriddles to get to where they are now.

Needless to say, the pair have built a brand with a loyal following. Even celebrities like Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith have taken a liking to Public School, both of whom have attended the label's fashion shows. What's more, they (probably) even have female fans who are just dying to get their hand on some of Chow and Osborne's designs.

Well, if you have sisters or a lady friend who falls into that category, tell them the wait may be over soon. Chow and Osborne recently recently sat down with New York Magazine and talked about how they got their start in the fashion industry, why they wanted to launch their own line, and even hinted at possibly launching a women's line.

"He's [Osborne] a little reluctant. But women's is definitely our next big move," said Chow. The pair didn't specify when we can expect to see their first stab at womenswear, but they already have an idea of what their female customer would look like. "We're still working it out. But we know who she is—she's modern, sophisticated, and edgy," Chow said.
