Ronnie Fieg Discusses How He's Able to Change the Game

Ronnie Fieg isn't just a sneaker guy. Although his name is synonymous with some of the best sneaker releases over the past couple years, Fieg, in general, has an elaborate mind for design. Fieg got together with Status magazine and discussed what takes place for him to do a collaboration, and surprisingly, he's very focused on the bottom line.

"You always want the collection to make sense and make money for both parties," Fieg told the publication, "because if you want to continue working with the brand, obviously, the stuff needs to sell."

We normally know Fieg for athletic sneakers, and even now, his takes on tapered sweats, but his start was based in rugged footwear. "It started off before athletics," Fieg said, "when I was selling mostly hiking boots and shoes such as Clarks, Vasque, and Red Wing,"

But what's his key to success and bring more attention to the brands he works with? "Not paying attention to what others are doing is the only way to thrive," Fieg concluded.
