Not many of us may immediately realize the significance of our fingernails, and to help us recognize their beauty and worth, illustrator MVM (Magnus Voll Mathiassen) has created a series dedicated to their portrayal. Using bold colors in large, defining shapes, he presents graphic renditions of fingers and fingernails of varying hues. While the concepts of nails and art were traditionally combined only in the idea of painting something onto the hard surfaces, MVM presents a type of art that actually paints images of nails themselves.
