The Andy Warhol Museum has launched a new series entitled the Silver Studio Sessions. For the initiative recording artists perform, as they do for the museum's Sound Series, however the sets are stripped-down acoustic versions. The sessions are held in the gallery space on the 6th floor. The performances take place either prior to or before their Sound Series appearance and are designed to create intimacy with the musicians. Artists currently featured on the site include Dean & Britta, Stephin Merritt of The Magnetic Fields, and Valgeir Sigurðsson.
