Architect Rem Koolhaas and Knoll Collaborate for New Furniture Collection "Tools for Life"

The pieces are to die for.

Tools for Life is a new, futuristic furniture collection for Knoll, Inc. which was designed by OMA, the collaborative house co-founded by architect Rem Koolhaas. It was shown at the 52nd annual Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. The new line emphasizes the performance of furniture, not just its aesthetic look in a dwelling. The pieces are incredibly, changing the language of modern furniture.

Rem Koolhaas said, "We wanted to create a range of furniture that performs in very precise but also in completely unpredictable ways, furniture that not only contributes to the interior but also to the animation."
