Don't everywhere and everyone deserve good design? AiB and Estudi PSP Arquitectura believe so, and they recently built a sleek penitentiary named the Mas d'Enric Penitentiary in Tarragona, Spain to prove it. AiB architect Roger Paez says the pretty prison "has the potential to spark a debate on how architecture relates to social betterment." With the surrounding forest, spacious courtyards, and prison cells with a view, the architects undoubtedly achieved their goal of creating a "non-oppressive environment."
