Some of us like to drink fancy Fiji water, but this man actually living in Fiji has built a whole new creation out of used plastic bottles. New Zealand native Tom Davies has gathered and glued together 600, 600-mL bottles to create a successfully functioning boat that can hold up to three grown Fijian men. After noticing the masses of littered plastic bottles on shorelines and roadsides, Davies completed his project and hopes for the other villagers to also consider plastic bottles as their main up-cycled material in building their rafts. While traditionally boats have been built out of bamboo, according to Davies, plastic bottle rafts last longer, and of course are way eco-friendlier.
