Leather jackets are awesome. Not only do they look badass, but they also break in wear like a pair of raw denim. So when David Hellqvist of PORT Magazine asked Derek Harris, owner of Lewis Leathers, to talk about his fascination with biker and rocker jackets, you already know we were wide-eyed. Harris and friend and photographer, Horst A. Friedrichs, collaborated on the book entitled: Pride & Glory: The Art of the Rockers' Jacket, an archive of music-inspired jackets that date back to the 1950s. The punk movement of the 1970s was also discussed, as Harris was fascinated with The Clash and their love for leather jackets. Filmed by Santiago Arbelaz, check out the rest of the video to brush up on your history of the cowhide outerwear.
