Few realize that the GIF is now 25-years-old. Its popularity has risen in the last 10 years due to the invention of Myspace, Tumblr, and blogging. Appropriately, Sean Pecknold created "A Short Animated History of the GIF" for the Moving the Still exhibition we covered at Art Basel Miami.
