New York-based designers Ben Light, Christie Leece, Inessah Selditz, and Matt Richardson created the "Bird on a Wire" project as an interactive light display installation. As of now, it lives at the Corner of Mercer Street and Washington Place in Manhattan. If you call a phone number while outside of it, you can set the birds on the telephone wires in motion and listen to their flocking sounds. The installation transforms a normally passive storefront experience into an engaging, active one.
