Artists Mark Mason, Steve Schomaker, and Larry Hudson were commissioned to create this giant sand sculpture of Barack Obama for Americans for the Arts' panel titled "Arts Speak." In light of Mitt Romney saying he'd eliminate art programs if elected president, the DNC celebrates Obama's continual efforts to do the opposite. The sculpture was built in just a matter of three days with five assistants.
