Originally built as a 12th century fortress, the Louvre museum in Paris, France, remains one of the greatest architectural achievements in existence. On September 22, the new Islamic Arts gallery will present a lustrous, floating roof over the courtyard of the Cour Visconti, which will be divided into two sections. "Golden Cloud", as it's dubbed, will resemble an Islamic headscarf residing over a showcase of works from the seventh to the nineteenth century.
