Just in time for this week's 2012
Armory Show,
Jack Spade enlisted artist
Theaster Gates to create a limited-edition Dipped Coal Bag. Made of industrial 24-ounce canvas and dipped in black rubber latex, the outer is printed with Gates' Association of Named Negro American Potters logo, while the inside sports the logo for Gates' nonprofit organization, the Rebuild Foundation, which transforms buildings into community art spaces. It's finished off with details like riveted seams, brushed nickel hardware, and a removable shoulder strap. Getting one will set you back $250. [
