Rosson Crow "BALLYHOO HULLABALOO HABOOB" At Honor Fraser

One of the most anticipated shows of the year opens in LA.

Hotly anticipated, Rosson Crow's second solo exhibition at LA's Honor Fraser tackles collective memory and analysis of historic periods. While not a complete shift from her earlier works, the new paintings differ in the avenue of negotiation. Rather than paint lush interiors and highlighting specific American moments, Crow now taps into darker circumstance and comments on the danger of fanatical celebration. Topics include the Dust Bowl and ticker-tape parades, not singular in location but emblematic of growth, decline, and rejuvenation.

BALLYHOO HULLABALOO HABOOB runs through March 31, 2012.
