Conceptual artist Shauna Richardon is pioneering a new breed of yarn graffiti — crochetdermy. We've seen Olek's work, where the artist knits around objects. Well, Richardon's work is similar... but adds a new level to the street intervention. Working with animal forms, she places reproduced animals on street walls and in parking garages. No doubt, some of these scare the sh*t out of folks. Look closely at the above images, and you'll get the idea.
Richardon is currently preparing the world's largest crochet sculpture, set for debut during the 2012 London Olympics. Can't wait to see that.
