Photojournalist KC Ortiz travels unbeaten paths in a journey to expose corruption, violence, and despair in the third world. He's hung with Hmong rebels in Laos and West Papuan freedom-fighters. He's also made a name capturing the work of street artists around the world. For Los Salvajes (The Wild Ones), Ortiz teamed with LRG to document Puerto Rican graffiti standouts Vizie, Steel, and Omens. Representing the Mad Society Kings and Villains crews, each writer has made their mark on San Juan's La Perla Section.
Ortiz's photographs of the three artists have been neatly packaged in a 50 edition book, with the originals going on view at KNOWN Gallery in LA from November 19 through December 10, 2011.
