Surf City is a collaboration exhibition by artist Luke Taaffe and photographer Ryan Heywood. Fusing classic seascapes and psychedelic surf iconography from the 80's and 90's, the duo manage to create powerful graphic scenes. We're loving the Jaws homage, and are also feeling how Taaffe and Heywood effectively reflect the dark, lonely side of the surf experience. The worlds are printed directly onto wood and displayed in grand scale. We're upset not to be down in Australia to check it out.
Surf City runs from October 14 to November 2, 2011.
