Located just outside of Melbourne, Australia, this new school building was designed by McBride Charles Ryan. Built with glossy black tiles, the structure takes the silhouette of three overlapping houses — so as to fit into the residential surroundings of the school — and provides classrooms, breakout spaces, and staff rooms. The building is all about acknowledging and exploiting an unusual urban condition as well as functioning as a space to prompt imaginative thinking. [Dezeen]
