You expect a list of top street art works to include Banksy. JR, too. And, you'd probably not be suprised that Stephen Powers would also get a nod. All three are included in designer Tristan Manco's The 10 Best Street Art Works list that was published in the Guardian over the weekend.
What sets Manco's list apart is the inclusion of material from Jenny Holzer, whose use of movie theater bill boards for "Truisms" (1993-1994) gave the New York City a heady mix of fine art sensibility and street art impact. Also making the cut are muralists Blu, Os Gemeos, and Keith Haring. The mixed-media set gets respect as well, with Vhils, Swoon, and Spain's Sam3 rounding out the chosen 10. [Guardian]
