A year after the L.A. store closed its doors, the world famous Bape is set to shut down its NYC shop for good on July 30. Opened six years ago, the store has been a mainstay on Greene St. in SoHo with lines three blocks long for exclusive releases, celeb spottings on the regular, and just downright good clothing being pumped from its veins. This is sad news for the scene.

Bape just announced that the store will be participating in NYC's Fashion Night Out on 9/8/11. Doubtful that they would would shut their doors on 7/30 and then reopen them a month later for one night. Can we get an update / confirmation on whether the store is or is not closing?
