Notable Artist In the Field: Ken Schwartz

At Colonial Williamsburg, those dudes in old fashioned pants are more than just costumed interpreters, they are real craftsmen. Ken Schwartz, a master blacksmith, is an example. His is an art with duel purpose—both educational and functional. Williamsburg also hires barrel makers, shoe makers, gun makers, etc. So basically, if you want to go back in time and make stuff, there's a good amount of opportunity.
