It's commonly recognized that college is a place for molding intellects, crafting careers, and finessing nefarious schemes for interpersonal, co-ed junk-mingling. But long after walking the stage, far outside the hallowed halls of higher learning, you'll spy letterman cardigans, coach's jackets, embroidered pants, printed button-up shirts, and varsity gear shining with subtle details that speak to academic roots. After all, school ties are the kind that bind. They're also the kind that are too sophisticated to make low-hanging "brains" jokes about. Even if it kills us.
