Hours after Patrick Beverley criticized the Brooklyn Nets on ESPN's 'Get Up,' Kevin Durant took to Twitter to throw shade at the polarizing guard.

Fresh off ofĀ rippingChris PaulĀ for the Sunsā€™ Game 7 blowout loss, Patrick Beverley returned to ESPNā€™sĀ Get UpĀ on TuesdayĀ morning to unleash more criticism about his peers, this time questioning if the Brooklyn Nets have what it takes to win a title.

ā€œCan they bring a title to Brooklyn? They need a lot of help...three really good teams thatā€™s gonna be in Eastern Conference next year for sure,ā€ Beverley said.

It didnā€™t take long for Kevin Durant to catch wind of Beverleyā€™s comments. The Nets superstar took to Twitter on Tuesday to indirectly address the Timberwolves guardā€™s bold take, sharing a classic Kanye West tweet that read, ā€œHe running around like Pac.ā€

After a few Twitter users mentioned Beverley in the comments, with one follower writing, ā€œlol role players talking like All-Stars,ā€ KD replied, ā€œThese guys need to stop.ā€

Nah we need more people like Pat Bev that keep it 100. Most of the NBA players give corporate answers and are too scared to really say how they feel.

The aforementioned Kanye tweet dates back to December 2018, when WestĀ unleashed a series of tweetsĀ aimed at Drake. The tweetstorm, which occurred after Drake took subliminal shots at Kanye in Travis Scottā€™s ā€œSicko Modeā€Ā and French Montanaā€™s ā€œNo Stylist,ā€ saw Ye accuse Drake of threatening him and his family.Ā

Subsequently, Kanye suggested Drake was ā€œrunning aroundā€ recklessly, like the late 2Pac.

As for KD and Beverley, Durant isnā€™t the first player whoā€™s called out the polarizing guard in the wake of his comments about Chris Paulā€™s dismal performance in Phoenixā€™s Game 7 loss to the Dallas Mavs.Ā

Damian Lillard hopped on Twitter on Monday to respondĀ to Patā€™s comments about Chris.

ā€œBra on TV acting like his word law,ā€ he wrote. ā€œSpeaking on private convos and praying on mfs downfall. This weird behavior smh.ā€ He also addressed someone bringing up Patā€™s stats with the claim hisĀ ā€œstats arenā€™t bad.ā€Ā

ā€œCuz nobody guarding this man,ā€ Lillard replied.
