La La and Carmelo Anthony's marriage has endured a tumultuous 2017, with drama following the couple through strip clubs and alleged baby mama drama. Even still, recent reports suggested the pair was not interested in rushing to get a divorce.

La La doubled down on that stance during an interview with Wendy Williams on Tuesday, insisting that marriages are tough and the couple is focused on doing what's best for their son. But she didn't mince words when Williams suggested Anthony seems like he wants her back.

"Why wouldn't he?" she said with a laugh. La La's response drew wild applause from the crowd, but she chose not to address that specific point beyond smiling at Williams.

Anthony did leave the door open for a reconciliation with her husband, however. Despite their differences, Anthony put her focus on how long they've been together and the importance of building a strong foundation for the child they had together.

"We're just going through a time right now, but him and I are the best of friends," La La said. "And our number one commitment is to our son, Kiyan. We have to set an example to Kiyan, and that's what's most important to me. I would absolutely never say a bad thing about my husband, that's my son's father, and he is an amazing dad, I could not ask for a better dad."

La La also provided the inside scoop on the thought process behind any potential career moves for Carmelo. She said his top priority, were he to leave the Knicks, would be to make sure he ended up somewhere close enough to be near his son.

"Every day I see a different team, that's for sure," La La said. "The most important thing with that is just to stay close to Kiyan. That's my priority, that's his priority."
