There have been a lot of really great NBA players who have excelled on the basketball court since Michael Jordan retired. Like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James and Tim Duncan and Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant and…well, do we really need to go on?

There hasn’t exactly been a lack of superstars in the league. But President Obama doesn’t think any of them have been as much “fun” as Steph Curry. During a recent interview with Time, the Commander-in-Chief—who roasted Curry a little bit during the Warriors’ trip to the White House earlier this year—said that he’s enjoyed watching Curry more than any other player in the last decade-plus.

“Steph Curry is the greatest shooter that I’ve ever seen,” President Obama said. “I am having more fun watching him than anybody since Michael Jordan.”

President Obama, who did the Time interview alongside ballerina Misty Copeland, wouldn’t go as far as to say that Curry is on MJ’s level yet—“Even Steph wouldn’t necessarily say he’s better than Jordan,” he said—but he did say that he’s looking forward to seeing where his career goes next.

“It’s rare where you get somebody who’s already at the pinnacle and then they take it another notch higher,” he said. “And he’s a wonderful young man. He’s a lot of fun.”
