After nine-seasons, 83 touchdowns, and countless utterances of the phrase "I'm just here so I won't get fined," Marshawn Lynch is likely retiring. This has followed weeks of speculation after a season that saw him limited to seven games, and comes from none other than ESPN's Adam Schefter, who reported this morning that you'll likely never see Beast Mode put on a helmet and shoulder pads professionally again:

Teammates still attempting to change his mind, but Seahawks' RB Marshawn Lynch has told some close to him he plans to retire, per sources.

Of course, retirement plans change all the time (see: Favre, Brett). But if Lynch does decide to "comeback" (in quotes because he hasn't actually left) it definitely won't be because he needs the money.
