One of the more unfortunate recent stories from the NFL is the story of Titus Young, the promising wide receiver who lost his place in the league because of his numerous run ins with the law. At 26, he's still suffering from behavioral issues.

TMZ Sports reports that Young has been arrested for "assault with a deadly weapon" after causing "serious bodily injury" to a victim during a street fight in Los Angeles.  Although the details on what actually happened are scarce, Young has reportedly been charged with felony battery. If convicted, he faces four years in prison with an additional five because of his prior legal history.

Young's rap sheet runs long. In 2013, he was arrested three times in one week for suspicion of DUI, then attempting to steal his car from the impound lot, and burglary. A year later, Young made news again for attacking five people in two months at a Los Angeles medical treatment center.

In 2013, Young's father, Richard, said that he believed the cause of his son's troubling behavior is a brain disorder that came from a concussion he suffered during his rookie year.

"I hope they just forgive Titus because this ain't none of Titus, it wasn't none of his fault," Richard said. "I look at my son right now, I don't see my son. That's not my son. I know my son."
