Peyton Manning's bad season on the field seems like a bit of an afterthought at this point. He's now the center of new controversy after Al Jazeera aired a documentary linking him to HGH shipments. Charlie Sly, a former intern at the Guyer Institute anti-aging clinic, said that the shipments were sent to Peyton's wife Ashley. Sly later recanted his statements.
However, Sly isn't the only source who confirmed that link. Deborah Davies, the lead reporter in Al Jazeera's investigation, told CNN’s Reliable Sources that there was a second source who confirmed that HGH shipments were sent to Manning's home. That source wasn't included in the documentary because he/she was confidential.
Sly never claimed that he saw Manning use HGH. However, the idea that it was sent to Manning's home under Ashley's name heavily implies there's been a coverup. Peyton has been proactive in responding to the report, aggresively denying them shortly after they were made public and agreeing to cooperate with the NFL's investigation.
