There's not a lot of people picking the Atlanta Falcons as serious Super Bowl contenders. But that's fine; we're not here to tell you you're sleeping on them. Instead, there's even better news: Julio Jones is going to stay paid.
The Falcons announced that they've signed Jones to a five-year/$71.25 million contract, and $47.5 million is guaranteed. Jones earned 1,593 receiving yards and scored six touchdowns last season. Jones is a beast and he's deserving.
Falcons' WR Julio Jones will receive $47.5 million guaranteed and $71.25 million over five years, per @mortreport.
Owner Arthur Blank said he expects Jones to be "a lifer for the Falcons." Jones isn't a bad lifer to have.
