If you are a Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball fan, you may be having a rough offseason. Your team was stacked with NBA first-round picks, on their way to a perfect season. But as all things fall apart in life, the Wildcats blew it in that heartbreaking loss to a harder-nosed Wisconsin Badgers team in the Final Four back in April.

UK head coach John Calipari stated something to note in a recent interview about his UK squad after the loss. As he entered the locker room after the contest, he predicted that his entire team would be "devastated." Instead, he claims that some of his players felt and looked "relieved" following the loss. Check the clip here:

So if you rooted for UK this past year, don't you feel the slightest bit of relief that some of the UK team and Calipari himself stated that losing a game in the Final Four could be actually good for the team? Or if you're an even bigger UK fan like Ashley Judd or Drake, you can settle for the most consecutive wins in school history, right? That's got to count for something...

No?? Okay, I figured that lame cop-out don't cut it for you.

Maybe the relief that Calipari was referring to was only from the team's walk-ons and other pine-riders who only saw scrub-time during their team's blowouts if they were lucky. It's a long season for these guys, who show up to practice all year, knowing they're not going to get much shine on game day when their friends, family, girlfriends, and sidechicks are watching them be cheerleaders without pom-poms.
