Rape threats over a tweet about a basketball game seems reasonable. Totally! In the land of Twitter trolls, the indignation never stops. Ashley Judd was watching the SEC Championship game between Arkansas and Kentucky last weekend and commented that she thought Arkansas was playing dirty (her mom Naomi Judd is from Ashland, KY). Twitter trolls responded with her simple opinion by telling her she's a whore, a cunt, and threatening her with rape.
"In my impassioned game moment, I said something that, if I were in a more calm state of mind, I might have phrased differently," she said on MSNBC. "I might have said, 'I feel really disappointed with what seems [like an] ultra-aggressive play.' Instead, I wrote, 'I think Arkansas is playing dirty.' "
