If you've been away from Twitter today, you missed President Barack Obama making his own private Twitter account. The POTUS blasted off his first tweet soon after joining:
Hello, Twitter! It's Barack. Really! Six years in, they're finally giving me my own account.
— President Obama (@POTUS) May 18, 2015
But, it didn't take long after joining for Obama to stir the pot. Someone did a little creeping into his followers and saw that Obama was following the Bulls, White Sox, Blackhawks and Bears. However, Obama didn't press the follow button on the Chicago Cubs. As one would imagine, the Cubs weren't too pleased:
@POTUS We're big fans of America. Just saying. #YouMissedATeam
— Chicago Cubs (@Cubs) May 18, 2015
Big misstep by Obama here, who is a noted White Sox fan. Even if he doesn't root for the Cubs, he has to respect a team that reps the colors of America, right?
