After a top NFL prospect declares for the draft, the next couple of months are simple. Prepare for the Combine and Pro Day, but most importantly, stay out of trouble! Just follow these easy steps from Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report.
You're about to become a multi-millionaire. Don't throw that away by giving these teams' owner(s), general manager and head coach a reason to be concerned or apprehensive about taking you in the draft.
According to Brandon Kiley of The Sports Wire on KTGR, Missouri defensive end Shane Ray was cited early Monday morning—just three days before the NFL Draft—for possession of marijuana.
With growing concerns over the state of his injured toe, which may or may not require surgery, Ray couldn't afford to give NFL teams any more red flags. The 21-year-old has undeniable first round talent, but this latest news may have some organizations questioning his character, judgment and health. It's a terrible combination. Hopefully, this doesn't hurt his stock too much.
