Let the mind games begin.

The Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao fight is still about two months away. But during an interview with the Los Angeles Times yesterday, Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach took a series of shots at both Mayweather and his father Floyd Mayweather Sr. He started things off by saying that he's glad Mayweather Sr. is Mayweather's trainer for the fight instead of Mayweather's uncle Roger Mayweather.

"I've watched [Mayweather Sr.] in the corner," he told the LA Times. "He stutters, has trouble staying calm, and can't get words out…Roger was the better fighter and he's the better trainer. I'm happy Floyd Sr. is the trainer, not Roger. I'd be more worried with Roger than Floyd Sr. When I had Oscar [De La Hoya], Roger made some good adjustments [during the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight] and he had a good game plan, too. Roger is someone to compete with. Not Floyd Sr."

Then, he went after Mayweather himself. He said that he feels Pacquiao is going to be able to stick with him in the ring.

"Floyd is a self-made fighter, there's no question he knows how to fight," Roach said, "but, yes, I think I have the fighter to beat him. Floyd Jr., in watching him, often makes the same moves over and over. Don't get me wrong, they're good moves—Mayweather knows how to survive—but I think he's predictable. And once we really start working on the fight, I believe we can hit him."

And finally, he said that he thinks Pacquiao will win the match—and end Mayweather's career.

"If Floyd loses that fight and Manny fights the perfect fight, I don't think Floyd will want a rematch," he said. "It's the end of his career."

This isn't the first time Roach has taken shots at Mayweather and his camp, and it won't be the last. Just 57 days left until the talking ends and the fighting begins!
