When the Philadelphia Flyers took the ice for the first time during this year's NHL preseason, something looked…different. It had absolutely nothing to do with the team itself, though. Rather, it had to do with the team's popular Ice Girls, who routinely took care of the ice during the downtime in games last season and several seasons before that. Instead of Ice Girls, the Flyers opted to use Ice Dudes this year:

1.

And it definitely didn't go over very well. Flyers fans booed and booed loudly during preseason games when the Ice Dudes took the ice. And a result of it, the Flyers have agreed to re-introduce Ice Girls into the mix again. They are going to hold Ice Girls tryouts on October 5 and have the new Ice Girls crew ready to go for the team's home opener against the Devils on October 9.

If you don't remember what the Ice Girls looked like last season, we've included a bunch of images in the thumbs gallery above. Kudos to the Flyers for making the right decision here and making all of the fans in Philly happy again.
