Kobe Bryant’s Achilles may be healed, but after what Alec Burks just did to him, he’s definitely going to need to get his ankles checked out.
In the second quarter of tonight’s Lakers-Jazz preseason game, Kobe got absolutely roasted by Burks, a fourth-year Jazz shooting guard who finally started to enjoy some on-court success last season. He’s got to be feeling pretty good about himself now, roasting a guy who has been on 12 All-Defensive teams and is considered one of the greatest players of all-time.
The downside, of course, is that Burks is now on Kobe’s list, and that virtually guarantees that the Mamba will drop 50-plus on Utah in their first game this season.
