The Lakers are looking to rebuild from a wretched 2013-14 season (nowhere to go but up) but it looks like they'll have to (possibly) do it without the services of Swaggy P. , whom you may (but probably don't) know him as, Nick Young. A day before the deadline to make the decision, Young informed Los Angeles that he will not exercise his player option and return for the already upcoming '14-15 campaign. That option was for $1.2 million dollars.

That doesn't mean he's totally out of L.A. After all, Young stated "I always wanted to be a Laker and it will be a dream come true to still be here, but it's crazy." If he was to stay he said he'd want to be made "a priority" to the franchise this summer. Coming off a career high 17.9 PPG, it'll be interesting to see how the Lakers brass plays this.
