Jets head coach Rex Ryan has been in the news today after coming out and making a series of bold statements about his team. But it doesn't look like those statements are going to be able to cover up the news about a crime that was allegedly committed by his defensive coordinator earlier this week.

According to TMZ Sports, a New Jersey woman filed a police report on Wednesday after Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman slapped her at a restaurant in Morristown, N.J. The 28-year-old woman claims that the 58-year-old coach approached her at the restaurant and attempted to buy her a drink. But when she turned it down, she says that Thurman slapped her across the face. And TMZ Sports has obtained two photos that appear to show Thurman slapping her (check out the thumbs gallery above to see them). She was reportedly shocked by the slap but was uninjured by it.

The Jets have yet to release a statement about the incident, but we're sure one is coming soon. Stay tuned.
