Do you have a bunch of extra money burning a hole in your pocket right now? If so, GIVE IT TO US. Or, if you don't feel like doing that, give it to Pelé. He's trying to raise some money for charity. And in order to do it, he recently hooked up with a company that used his hair to create 1,283 special gems.
How? We have no idea. We also don't know why you would want to own a "special gem" that was created using someone else's hair. But if you do, Pelé explained how you can do it on Twitter earlier today:
In celebration of the memorable goals and moments of my career,— Pelé (@Pele) May 29, 2014
a line of extraordinary diamonds has been developed in partnership with Diamantes Brilho Infinito. pic.twitter.com/PtpDs6M9nA— Pelé (@Pele) May 29, 2014
A total of 1,283 special gems created from the carbon contained in my hair are now available to my fans around the world,— Pelé (@Pele) May 29, 2014
with proceeds going to Pequeno Príncipe, the largest pediatric complex in Brazil.— Pelé (@Pele) May 29, 2014

So? Anyone want a special gem? Anyone at all?
We've seen and heard about some strange sports memorabilia in the past. But this is really something else.
