Whether you want to call it absurd or ironic, the fact is that Donald Sterling was about to become a two-time recipient of NAACP's Lifetime Achievement Award. Following his anti-African-American comments, the Los Angeles chapter of the organization changed its mind:
#DonaldSterling will not be receiving a lifetime achievement award from the LA Branch of the NAACP. #MTP
And yeah, you read the "two-time recipient" part right. Sterling won the honor in 2009, the same year Elgin Baylor sued him for employment discrimination.
