Late last month, former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Katherine Webb. And it doesn't sound like the happy couple is going to wait very long to get married. According to a report, McCarron and Webb will become husband and wife in early July. And we'll all get to witness their wedding because, according to those same reports, their wedding is going to be the subject of a reality TV show.
Why is it going to be the subject of a reality TV show? Ummm…we don't know. But at the moment, cameras are following McCarron and Webb around, and the producers of the show are trying to sell a network on the idea of broadcasting it sometime in the near future.
Would you watch it? We know at least two people who won't be interested in it. Redskins players Ryan Clark and Robert Griffin III both tweeted about it—and commented on the lack of criticism surrounding the idea of McCarron being involved in a reality TV show—earlier today:
“@Realrclark25: So AJ McCarron is filming a reality show about his wedding &...No one thinks this is bigger deal than a logo?” Crazy bro— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) April 9, 2014
They do have a point. If this was RG3 filming a reality show, people would be going wild. Then again, McCarron isn't RG3 or anything close to RG3. So a reality show might be the last taste of fame he gets for awhile.
