During the Seattle Sounders/Toronto FC match on Saturday, Sounders star Clint Dempsey attempted to pulled a fast one on everyone. At one point, he walked by Toronto FC's Mark Bloom and casually slapped him in the groin, which caused Bloom to collapse to the ground because, well, no matter how "casually" you get hit in the groin, it still hurts like hell. And Dempsey was actually so slick about it that the referees didn't see him do it.
The cameras caught Dempsey nailing Bloom right in the nuts, though. And as a result of it, the MLS Disciplinary Committee just decided to issue a two-game suspension to Dempsey. He will have to miss the Sounders next two matches against Montreal and Columbus. And chances are, he'll think twice before he goes after an opponent like this again.
