Lotus is best known for making sports cars that exemplify founder Colin Chapman's maxim of "simplicate and add lightness," but the company is now branching out a bit. Simple motorcycles with lots of lightness are great too, and that's exactly what this is.
If you're thinking it looks like a muscley version of a Tron lightcycle, you're definitely on to something, as the iconic sci-fi bike and the Lotus were both designed by Daniel Simon. The Lotus C-01, however, is powered by a 200 hp, 1,195 cc Vee-Twin and weighs 399 lbs.
It's going to be fast, and the carbon and gold version of Lotus' classic John Player Special livery is perfect. No word on pricing yet, but however much it costs, we think it's worth it.
